Prophets
In Hebrew Scripture the Nevi'im begin not with oracles but with history: Joshua, Judges, Samuel and Kings tell Israel's story in the land and read it as a verdict on the nation's faithfulness. Then come the voices—Isaiah through Malachi—calling kings and commoners back to covenant, in rebuke, lament, and unyielding hope.
Writings
The Ketuvim are Scripture's most varied collection: Israel's prayers and protests, its proverbs and love songs, its court tales and chronicles. Here the covenant is lived out in ordinary life—in grief, in doubt, in exile, in celebration—by people who kept faith even without hearing a voice from heaven.
New Testament

Themes Across Scripture
