How to Celebrate Passover at Home

Table of Contents
Passover is a time to remember God’s deliverance from Egypt and celebrate the freedom He gave His people. As we retell the Exodus, remove leaven from our homes, and gather around the Seder table, we are reminded of God’s faithfulness from generation to generation.
For us as followers of Yeshua, Pesach also points to the Messiah, our Passover Lamb, whose sacrifice brings redemption and new life.
We have prepared a practical guide to help you celebrate Passover at home, with explanations of the Seder, what you need to prepare, the Passover plate, traditional customs, recipes, and more.

Glossary
Pesach (פֶּסַח) means “Passover” and refers to the biblical festival remembering God’s redemption of Israel from Egypt through signs and wonders. God passed over homes with the blood of the lamb from the death of the firstborn, pointing to the future redemption by the blood of Yeshua, the Lamb of God.
Redemption (ge'ulah, גְּאֻלָּה) means being rescued or bought back, and refers to God delivering His people from sin, slavery, and death.
Seder (סֵדֶר) means “order” and most often refers to the structured Passover meal that retells Israel’s redemption from Egypt. Families may also do a seder of special foods and blessings for Rosh Hashanah.
Yeshua (יֵשׁוּעַ) is the Hebrew name of Jesus, meaning "salvation"
