Isaiah

Isaiah ben Amoz prophesied in Jerusalem for roughly half a century, from about 740 BCE through the reigns of four kings of Judah. Tradition places him among the nobility, at home in the royal court, and he addressed kings as readily as commoners. His book moves from searing judgment to Scripture's most soaring promises of comfort.
